Q. What is YouTXT ?

A. YouTXT is a TXT and email Customer / Client reminder system. This system allows you to invite, entice and retain your customers through the use of friendly reminders, event notices or any other messages you want to send.

Q. How can YouTXT help my business ?

A. In just 15 minutes, you can be TXTing customer reminders from your computer. This entices your customers back, instead of letting them drift to your competitors, and saves in advertising, postage, printing and time.

Q. I'm not technical, and don't like TXTing from my phone. Why would I use this system ?

A. It is easy to use. We arrange your login, and you don't use your phone, its all done from your computer. YouTXT sends the TXT's for you.

Q. Why would our business want to start doing this. We print out and mail our reminders now.

A. The savings are huge, every way you look. We send the TXT's automatically for you. No more stamps, printing, stuffing in envelopes, and you save on the time to go to the Post Shop. Also, TXT's can be sent closer to the time, so less missed appointments.

Q. Our customers are happy getting the letter reminders. Why change ?

A. They may be happy, but with this system, you have a choice. You can still send letters to some if they want or emails. However, the feedback we get is that customers love getting the TXT reminder, as they don't have to find somewhere to store the letter, the contact details are in their phone and they can reply right there and then.

Q. We like to ring our customers as the human touch is friendly.

A. Yes, that is the case sometimes, but do they like getting the phone call, perhaps interrupting what they are doing, or making their phone line busy. Are they allowed to receive personal calls while at work ? Maybe they might be in an area where they don't have privacy for personal phone calls. There are many questions about that method, whereas a TXT can be read any time, and does not interrupt. It can be replied to when it suits them as well. We accept that sometimes a phone call is best, and so think that offering your customers a choice is the best way.

Q. What are the terms ? will we be tied in to this for a period of time ?

A. No, we don't tie you in. YouTXT is invoiced and paid each month. You can cancel it anytime you like.

Q. How many TXT's can we send each month ?

A. As many as you like. We have a range of plans, so you can subscribe for the size plan you want, with a fixed limit, or you can have open plans. There are plenty of options, so you can stay within a fixed budget if required.

Q. What plan should I choose ?

A. It doesn't really matter too much, as we can change your plan each month. If you need an increase, we can do that any day as well. So just pick a plan that sounds about right. Many businesses start on the plan AlertPlan10 which has 100 TXT's per month.

Q. How much do the TXT's cost ?

A. The plan costs include the use of the system as well as the TXT's. There are no surprises or hidden costs.

Q. How do we pay for this ?

A. The YouTXT system automatically emails you a Tax Invoice on the 1st of each month. We just ask that you pay that each month. We are a NZ GST registered company, so you can claim the GST back, and we include our bank account number on the invoices.

Q. How do I login to YouTXT ?

A. Enter your login name at the top right, and your password just beneath there, and click Login. Your login name would have been created by us, or if you joined online, would have been the name you entered when you joined. Hint, you will have an email with this information in it as well, from the time when you were joined.

Q. How do I create my Alerts ?

A. Once logged in, you can browse, view, edit and create new alerts from the Browse screen. This is accessed by clicking on the View/Edit My Alerts button at the middle of the top menu, or click here. To create Alerts, click on the Add New Alerts button. There are two of these, one at the top banner, and one at the bottom left. Then type in the text for the Alert, confirm other details, such as Date/Time and Destination, and then click Save. (Save means to Send if the Date/Time are in the past) The TXT (or email) will be sent within a minute.

Q. I have forgotten my password. What do I do ?

A. Enter your login name in the top right box, and then click the ? (question mark) to the right of the password box. We will email your password to you.

Q. How long does it take TXT's to be sent ?

A. TXT's get sent within a minute.

Q. We only have some of our customers Mobile Numbers. Can we start using it now ?

A. Yes. If you don't have their Number, get it from them next time. Or, if you have their email address, YouTXT can use that for the reminders.

Q. We would like to try it. What should we do next ?

A. Phone 0274432001, email or fill in the Contact form, and we will arrange a meeting, where we can set up your account, and provide training for your staff.

Q. Can I try it, or Join online and have a try ?

A. Yes. You can join online. You don't actually need us at all, we just like to be here, and help where we can. To join online, click the Join button at the top right of the menu, or simply click Join. When signing up, you will be asked for your Mobile number, as the system sends a one time Pass Code to your Mobile phone. This is just a security process, and is not stored by the system at all.

Q. What makes this system any better than others ?

A. We have a number of features that are hard to beat, and some not even possible. See here for a list of those. But one thing we hear a lot is about the growing or hidden costs. We don’t have any hidden costs, and we don’t let prices creep up over time.

Q. So whats this about Premium Shortcodes ?

A. Premium Shortcodes are a separate part to TXTing, and you don’t need to worry about these if you are only interested in TXT sending. However, if you also want to have a Premium Shortcode, such as TXT CTAS to 8808 for our company information or a contest or whatever, then we can incorporate that into your YouTXT account.
